  •  Pray that the Lord will bless the day with lovely weather and that His grace and protection will be upon the Block Party and all the neighborhood throughout the day.
"The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
  • Pray that the hearts of our neighbors will be open to the truth of salvation through Jesus and that everyone will come today that needs to be there. "Salvation is found in no one else..." Acts 4:12
  • Pray that the Lord will provide the volunteers with strength and wisdom and joy throughout the day. Pray for divine appointments in which to share the Gospel and encouragement in the Lord. "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10; “The joy of the Lord is my strength.” Neh. 8:10
  • Pray for wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit for those coordinating the event and leading the various teams: Jessica, Kenny, Linda, Michelle, Alberto, Pastor Chris, Gracie, Wanda, and Shirley.
  • Pray that all the activities and booths would go very well and be used by God to bring joy, truth, and comfort to all those who participate. Pray that the power stays on, no injuries or accidents happen, and that supplies are sufficient for the need. “And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:19
  • Pray for God’s blessing upon the food for lunch, the chili cookoff, and the vendors and booths with food, and for those who are preparing and serving. “So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Cor. 10:31
  • Pray for those who are covering the event today in prayer, including yourself! Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide the prayers according to God’s will, so that the prayers will be effective and productive. "You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many." 2 Cor. 1:11; “The earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16

Whatever else the Holy Spirit brings to mind, please pray that, also!

  2. Pray that the Lord will equip and prepare all the volunteers. "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10
  3. Pray for wisdom and guidance for those coordinating the event and leading the various teams:  Jessica, Alberto, Erika, Gracie, Kenny, Linda Stoeber, Michelle Schaefer, Pastor Chris, Shirley, and Wanda Couzens-Smith.
  4. Pray that the church will continue covering this event in prayer, including people to pray during that day. "You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many." 2 Cor. 1:11
  5. Pray for good weather and God's blessing and safety during the Block Party and throughout the neighborhood. "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
